Do you have many programs that start with the computer?
If so I would look to disable some as this may help with your problem.
Let me know if you do and I will help with which to disable and see if that helps.
I would also recommend running a spyware program such as Ad-Aware incase its spyware thats slowing your computer down.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650 -

I dont know what do you mean by starting with many programs
On start I can see Netscape / McAfee / AOL messenger service....etc
Please let me know how to disable0 -
Some programs when you will load up everytime you load up your pc.
Some of the programs you may not be aware are doing this and some you may not even use so its possibly slowing down your pc to load them when not needed.
To disable you need to hit the start key on windows then go to run
In the command field type msconfig and there will be a box with tabs you need to select the one called startup if I remember correctly and disable the programs listed you don't need to use.
If your unsure which ones to disable then if you can take a screenshot I can take a look and we can try disable a few and see how it effects the computer and they can always be enabled again.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650
