Car Insurance Problem

Evening all,
Just looking for opinions/answers. Car insurance is up for renewal. I've inputted my car insurance details on Confused.Com. Got a reasonable price so clicked to buy and was transferred through to their site. Checked all details, all fine, went on to pay and a message flashed up saying they couldn't verify some details and couldn't insure me. No further details...
Been driving for 35 years, got that many no claims, never made a claim, never had this issue.
Will this now affect me looking for further insurance, as the question often asked is "have you ever been refused insurance".
Slightly worried now.
