Thought you'd like to know that a full bottle of Jack daniels is only £13 at the moment in Morrisons ....until Dec 2nd [I think]
Cheers for that chuck, i'll get my backside down there this week. Bit dangerous though, me in Morrisons - all those BOGOFs! And dont even get me started on the hot chicken stand lol
His book is a FHM mini book of jokes which was £2.49 so that'll leave me a few quid for a nice jokey pressie - last yr i got him some boobie juggling balls :rotfl:

Have a look on www.hawkin.co.uk
They sell all sorts off stuff starting from pennies upwards - some useful, some just plain daft! I could spend a fortune on there. They have temporary shops all over the UK if you'd rather shop in the high street. Here I go again on my own....0 -
i buy the christmas dinner, dh cooks it and serves it up, complete with well set table and wine. as we both work and christmas day or boxing day is are only day off, this suits us.:beer:0

We are saving for a frost free freezer and a new tele in the sales after xmas so there will be no xmas presents between us, H hates all the silly nonsense as he calls it like simpsons socks or musical books and keeps saying to keep all the money for the things we need.
For a budget of £10 even £20 you can buy a lot though, mini baileys, toiletries BOGOF or 3 for 2, in savers the other day palmolive bath bubble was 81p in assorted smells, lovely big bottle that could be put in a hamper, try amazon or play.com for under £10 gifts and lastminute.com are doing that also, their fav biscuits, fav chocs, loads of offers on them in Sainsburys, Morrisons and Woolies, it is just a case of taking the time and keep looking:rolleyes:

Oh im glad we're not the only ones who kind of set a budget to spend on each other! I actually reckon it makes it more fun limiting what you can spend as it makes you use your brain more and find interesting/fun pressie ideas!
I have never understood why some women buy their bfs/OHs naughty undies for them to wear? i mean you buy them for the OH, but you wear them? dont think my hubby would be too impressed-just an excuse for me to have even more undies! lol!
But anyway-im not very good at keeping presents secret from him, ive already admitted one dvd i got him and he said 'oh but now i know, you ll have to get some else too to suprise me with!' hes keen on suprises this year.... hmm.... need to zip my mouth up i think to stop myself!

One year me and my (now ex) OH decided we would wait until the jan sales and go out together and get each other presents and also a ps2. That way we could get better value presents at a lower cost :money:
As luck would have it my parents got us the ps2 and we ended up with over £200 in cash and vouchers from friends and family so we didnt end up spending our money but still got our shopping spree and our ps2!
That was a great christmas!! (and I still have the ps2!
) finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0 -
Have a look at www.halfcost.co.uk - they have some great bargains in top brand sportswear. They also have a few designer items in their clothing range. Best bargain I found was mens Diesel Jeans for £20 although they do have limited sizes.
Our wedding anniversary (and my birthday) is on the 30th Dec so we decided to have a competition to see who could find the cheapest or naffest or most useless anniversary present - we're not allowed to spend more than £5 and it has to be something related to the anniversary. First year was paper - he got me a writing set for £3.99 (do people still write letters?) and I bought him a newspaper! Last year was cotton - he got me a diary for £2.99 and stuck a picture of Dot Cotton on the front and I bought him a sewing kit from Poundland! The score is now 2 - 0 to me. This year its leather and I'm dreading to think what he'll come up with! :eek:0
