Ukps obstructive and parking in no parking area

Hi,

I have appealed using blue text as per the Newbies thread. However, i have contraventions listed as obstructive parking and parking in no parking area. The image shows double yellows and no parking written on the floor. Ukps are IPC and based in leamington, should i pay it off as discount expires in few days.

Nobody here will suggest you pay a scammer.

What is the full name of the PPC please? There are several with the same initials.

It is not a penalty. The Supreme Court disagrees that the charge is excessive.

It sounds like the signs are forbidding and therefore incapable of forming a contract.

Ukps Ltd, there is no full name listed on the notice. Address is Central Office, the hangers, Harbury Lane, leamington spa, Warwickshire, cv33 9sa. I called the social club also who said that they cannot do anything and i would have to complain directly as on the back of the notice.

Get pics of the site and signage and complain in writing to the landowner/club manager as well as to your MP about this unregulated scam.

Other than that you are in ignore mode unless you get real court papers.

Yes, that is the company.

They have rejected my initial appeal with the 3 options now listed below.
1. Payment offer of reduced rate for the charge above at the reduced rate of £60; to UKPS Limited. PLEASE REFER BELOW FOR PAYMENT OPTIONS AND ADDRESS DETAILS.

2. If you are not happy with our decision you can contact the IAS theias.org standard Appeals service within 21 days of this appeal being declined.

By law we are also required to inform you that the Ombudsman Services ombudsman-services.org provides an alternative dispute resolution service that would be competent to deal with your appeal. However, we have not chosen to participate in their alternative dispute resolution service. As such should you wish to appeal then you must do so to IAS, as explained above.

3. If you choose to do nothing the parking charge will automatically increase after 7 days from the date of this letter to £100 and the matter will be passed to our debt recovery agent, at which point you will be liable to pay an additional charge of £60, in accordance with our terms and conditions of parking and further charges will be claimed if Court action is taken against you. Any unpaid Court Judgement may adversely affect your credit rating.

PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS LETTER, UKPS LIMITED REGULARLY TAKES MOTORIST TO COURT WHO IGNORE THEIR PARKING CHARGES.

I'll email the landowner and my MP. Shocked companies like this exist and 'enforce' locations that are regularly used by ppl to bring trade to local/small shops.

This is nothing new.

Apart from complaining to the landowner and your MP, and getting those pics that Fruitcake mentioned, there is nothing more to do until a County Court Claim Form drops through your letter-box. Post again on this thread if that happens and you still need help.
