    Hello!

    Struggling to find time to post at work this week (can't stand posting from my phone!)

    Today I have/will:
    * Check banks - finally received OnePoll payout!
    * Take lunch to work
    * Make CC overpayment
    * Set up banking app to make it easier to make payments - still struggling with MBNA but will keep trying!
    * Free pilates class at lunch
    * Check OP/ PA
    * Update spreadsheet
    * Make HM smoothies using bananas I froze last night as they were getting very over ripe!
    * Pop to Li*l at some point to pick up two things for dinner that I forgot - not buy anything else!
    * Snap receipt
    * Go to circuits (already paid for)
    * Do more on crochet project

    That's everything I can think of for now! Hope you all have a good day!
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £6,450.00
    Total paid off - £9,150.89 (58% paid off)

    Ziggy - hope your DS likes his new carpet!!

    I've got a sort of upside down day today!

    - continue with the Spring Cleaning - I'll only have time to sort through some drawers I think Managed to empty, dust and refill wardrobe and made a start on chest of drawers. Everything from the drawers is currently on the bed, so I have to get it done before bedtime!!
    - get to the supermarket for 8:00 to do my weekly shop Done. Aldi were selling 1/2 price chickens (use by date 24/10!!!). I bought one, and contemplated buying two but decided I didn't have room in the freezer for all the extra meals that would produce!!

    - go to the 9:30 session at the gym (I normally go in the evening), then home for a shower Done.

    - put a load of washing (including gym gear) in on a 40 deg 'daily quick' wash (only takes 50 minutes) and hang out if the weather's OK. Lodger got there before me!! Never mind, it can wait until tomorrow.
    - put together a contract for our latest sub-contractor, for the business that I run with my ex. Sorted
    - lunch out. I volunteer at East Riddlesden Hall (a National Trust property), and we'll be closing for the winter soon, so this is an end-of-season meal at the local pub. Really looking forward to it, but it needs to be thought about carefully from an MSE perspective. I'm involved in the Hall a lot, so there are lots of different groups arranging end-of-season meals - I don't go to all of them!! I'll be having the lowest priced lunch (probably soup), wouldn't be having alcohol anyway as I'll be driving, and I won't have a pudding. The important bit is meeting up with everyone!! Had a lovely meal. Didn't have the soup as it was tomato (my least favourite), so had the next-cheapest thing on the menu (sandwiches - I went for the prawns) and then just a coffee, no pudding. Total £10.50
    - start work at 4pm, through to 9pm. Take sandwiches for my break, as 9pm is a bit late to be starting to cook when I get in. Back home now. In the end I didn't take sandwiches (I'd had sandwiches for lunch), but I made myself a salad when I got back in.

    Going to the gym in the morning instead of the evening, starting work in the evening instead of the morning. By 9 tonight I'll have forgotten which way's up!!
    No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...

    Morning everyone :) I'm up early today despite DS being at his Dads, I just can't lay in! Anyway Argos are delivering a few bits that I've bought this morning for DS birthday, I've been saving up for months to get him a few gifts and I feel super proud of myself! Anyway today:

    - Go to Asda, they have 25% off clothing and DS needs new pyjamas for the winter
    - Quick tidy and hoover at home
    - All meals from home
    - Go to shop, buy fruit and milk
    - Sort out my wardrobe and list few bits on Ebay/FB

    I think that's all, if anything else I will add it later! Have a lovely day all x

    Afternoon all :)
    Today's small things:
    HG fruit from freezer with breakfast, instead of bought fresh fruit
    Restocked sales unit after the sale of a large item yesterday
    Made some muffins to use up the last squishy pear
    I have washing on the line so am anxiously watching the weather :eek: My everyday coat, which the dog made muddy, is out there and I need to wear it this weather!
    Listed a posh Jacques Vert coat on ebay - I have 2 camel coloured woollen winter coats, both bought secondhand I hasten to add, as neither would have been cheap. This is the one I like least, wore it yesterday (as my everyday coat is in the wash) and decided it can go - too formal for me, and a bit too big as well.
    All food from home, shopping was done yesterday and I shan't be needing anything else till after the weekend at the earliest.
    Sold an ebay item, which needs to be packed carefully

    Still to do:
    Check banks and update spreadsheet
    Sort out clothes etc for tomorrow - we are going to a wedding. Only a few miles away, so no long distance travel involved.

    Did a hopefully week-and-a-half shop
    Made a large sausage and vege(mostly from bottom of fridge) lasagne, about to eat, but am thinking ds has gone to sleep as he not come down to eat yet so lasagne is now going cold!
    Went on a longish run for free, except drove to nice path to start run.
    Only splurges was a fun card for friend who just had major, but hopefully not critical operation, and a chili cheddar for ds which he converted into a large plate of nachos :-), probably main reason for only just now showing suitable interest for lasagne.
    Vacuumed everything.
    Extra cleaned kitchen.
    Made bread.
    Have had a rotten week at work and am again rethinking my options - as it is a job that is not doing much for my confidence or my finances. Will spend time at desk tomorrow, to identify job to apply for.
    Would really like to get a job coach, as am running out of idea.

    Hope everybody is having a nice weekend

  • Did do a post last night but lost it :(

    Baileys Babe I hope you are beginning to feel better soon. It's awful after a virus,it does drain u and does take a while for u to begin to feel normal and back into full routine

    ditty I hope u can get the job situation sorted soon, there is nothing worse :(

    Seem to just be spending money at the minute, diy is not cheap!
    Preparing for the hall to be decorated, just done a few bits myself getting rid of the old flooring strips (the GP would kill me!)
    Made use of the b+q 3 4 2 offer on paint again. With the amount I've got including for the living room ive almost enough for me to open a paint store!
    Had some food out after a works sporting event yesterday but didn't overindulge. Took my own tea for the actual event
    Banking checked, everything good
    Quidco checked-not enough for a payout yet.

    Ended up buying some Christmas toys with the Arg@s 2 for 15 deal. I also had 25% off so had some really good deals. I have a budget for each child and have come in under with each. These presents are always delivered early to the family.i did have some presents ready but looking at them they are a bit old for them so will be popped away for next year.

    It's all very quiet at the minute. It will be a quiet day today I think doing some more prep for tomorrow.
    Have a great day everyone x

    Afternoon all :)
    Quiet thread this week!
    Baileys Babe, hope you are better soon. These viruses seem to take ages to shake off :(
    Ditty, hope you find a job you like soon!
    Went to a boot sale / market combo this morning. Mostly bought things to sell on for my business, but I did find large packs of sliced mature cheddar for £1. I don't normally bother with sliced cheese, but 1kg of cheese for £1??? They are close to their date, but I trust the business that sells them (they take their refrigerated van to all the markets round here, and have a great reputation). And they can always be frozen if need be. Also bought eggs from a farmer, and tomatoes from the greengrocer who sells there :)
    Walked dog when I got back (he would not prefer a very early walk, he made quite clear!)

    Labelled up and boxed items for my sales unit tomorrow, now loaded in car ready to go :D
    Done a bit of business paperwork
    Messaged an ebay buyer, as I went to pack her item, and noticed a bit of damage - it wasn't damaged when I listed it :( Anyway, I have asked her if she would like either to cancel the order, or offer a lower price. I do sell things that have a little bit of damage sometimes, but only if it is made very clear in the listing!

    The large garden pot I sold the other day was collected just after lunch :T, so I spent part of the afternoon moving my other pots around. Those with compost in have been put at the bottom of the garden and covered up - I reuse old compost where possible, mixing with some out of a fresh bag or the compost bin, and it is really best if you wnt to use it again to keep it covered to stop it either completely drying out or getting waterlogged. Moved the pots that still have things growing in them to the top end of the garden. More pots to move tomorrow, but that is enough for today!
    I intend to make frittata and salad for dinner tonight, and quince and raspberry crumble for pudding :)
    I have lit the stove because it was cold in here, but the central heating has still not been on. I have the kettle on top for 'free tea' later :)
