Power cut and now shower won’t work!

Hi All,

We had a power cut a week ago and since then our shower (Aqualisa Quartz) is only trickling water out and is red hot despite whichever temperature setting it’s on.

I was convinced it may be an airlock but others seem to not get hot water at all, whereas we’re the opposite. I’ve followed instructions on the Aqualisa website of turning off the power, removing shower head and then running the water but after 30 minutes, there was only a little improvement.

It’s come at a terrible time as we’ve just had an £1800 vet bill to pay so I don’t want to be too hasty in getting a plumber in if it’s a fix we can do ourselves.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks.

If you isolate the supply and remove the whole shower, you'll know if it's the flow or the shower. It's likely that one of the shower components is knackered, especially if it was in use at the time of the power cut. It might even have been the cause.
  • I sounds like the pump has stopped working.

Is it a power shower? Maybe a model number would help people to advise you.
