Car park in peterborough to practice riding?
Comments

Hello,
Thanks for all the kind replies. I am asking because my friend is going to lay out some marker cones on the floor and obviously if the police saw him doing this, they would approach him and start questioning him. Just wanted to know the legalities of this as I cant exactly find the owner of toys r us or showcase cinema to ask their permission if he can do some learning in their carpark. I was thinking maybe he can go somewhere e.g. Showcase cinema or pc world when the business is closed and the public is not using the car park and just go there and do some practise for say 30 minutes. Obviously if the police saw him putting cones out in the carpark they would wonder whats going on and if they did see it, what can they say?
thanks.0 -
One would hope the police would see this, check that the rider was licenced to ride that vehicle, and then praise him/her for having the foresight to brush up on their riding skills.0

I wouldn't use any car park around a retail centre or showcase cinema, they tend to have notices prohibiting learner drivers and particularly driving schools from the car parks. Just check out the Parking Ticket sub-forum and see how many people have received PCNs for doing just what you suggest. Go and have a look at the parking around Curry's/PC World and check the signs!0

No public access -why?[/QUOTE]

Is there any suggestion that the OP's friend isn't insured?Mercdriver wrote: »One word - insurance0 -
