IAS Non-Standard Appeal Service?

I don't often engage in appeals, let alone IAS "appeals", but I'm helping a friend of a friend with a G24 ticket from back in the summer.
G24 have said they "may engage in the non-standard appeal service" at their discretion as the original appeal was received too late. (It wasn't, but they have taken 4 months to come up with that excuse)
The Non standard appeal is £15 and binding on both parties - is that even allowed under ADR requirements?
She is a bit of a worrier, so I'd prefer to get an appeal done and dusted so she has a bit of paper that says it's cancelled.
Whats the usual practice with, and the background to this Non-standard appeal?
Thanks!

Don't. It will inevitably be declined and make you obliged to stump up the ticket cost.0

I had sort of assumed that would be the case, but when did this come about, and is even legit?
I'm sure it's probably been discussed somewhere deep within this forum, if someone has a link to any thread handy?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
She is a bit of a worrier,
My advice to these type of people is to pay up....they never quite believe that you're going to sort it out properly and then question you at every stage of the process....its a constant flurry of 'what if, but what if, but they might, my nan told me that they...etc
Far easier to let them pay.....0 -

I agree - personal circumsatnces though, she has gone through a lot of trauma recently and really can't afford it. I may just take one for the team, but it stabs me in the heart to give these shysters any money.
I could name myself as driver though....:grinheart<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->1 -
G24 are useless muppets and their delay and offer is a con but if the person wants to pay up no one will blame them, it's just a shame that someone funds a known scam.0

Staffs. Better suggestion. Just update the details g24 hold to your address then your friend wont get any more letters.....
Create an email address in her name. Inform the parking company you have moved and email it to the DPO @g24. Bingo

A MP recently opined that some of these companies may have links to organised crime. Paying could be funding white slavery and people trafficking.

and see if they take you to court. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Do as Brown Trout says
The £15 IPC con trick is just another IPC scam invented by the "Kray Twins" .... AKA GLADSTONES.
Then wait to see if Gladstones try on their next scam ..... adding a fake £60 ...... and you know what to do about that

Good idea - I'm better placed to deal with them and it takes the problem away from her. I'll happily endure the circle of DRP/Zenith letters that are bound to follow.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

It's something I would like to discuss with my MP, however he is the lesser-spotted, "will-he-won't-he-resign" Jared O'Mara.
But that's another battle I'm heaviliy involved in....<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
