Capital One 18mths missed payment sweat!

I just recieved a call from capital one saying I had missed my first payment, I could swear that I set up a DD for this as I allways do, anyway I made up the payment as well as this months and set the DD up, the advisor also refunded the £20 missed payment charge as a good will gesture.
Unfortunatly customer service only work 9-5 monday-friday so I am sweating on whether or not they will start charging me interest from now rather than 18mths, does anyone have any experiance of this and what are my chances of pleading my case that I thought I had set up the DD, just check ed my statement and there is no mention of an automatic collection.

hi, this happened to me. My (18 month offer) direct debit was supposed to go out on 24th (first payment) and it was never taken by C1.

I phoned up customer services as you did and they confirmed that they would refund any late payment fee and that I would still be charged no interest for the next 17 months (since it was there fault anyhow). I am thinking about cancelling the DD and just paying by S.O. since I trust myself more than I do them.
