Afternoon all. We have been out for breakfast in Nailsea this morning. The Wotherspoon was lovely and cosy with an oprn fire and the breakfast was delicious. We called into Tosco to do some shopping and almost got home in the dry lol. We are having a quiet afternoon after our busy week although I will make a cake in a bit.

Nanny W hope the antib's work quickly and you feel better soon. RR glad the chimney is sorted. Gers I have heard those meals are very good and the cottage pie is very nice.

Well have a good afternoo folks. Hugs and spoons all round.

Well, I did evenutally face the world even though it's very windy!

Fed and watered DM, went out shopping, visited a friend for a hug and coffee, had the car washed, took stuff to the tip and now home.

I woke with a thick throat which was almost sore so I've been gargling with salt water to help stop anything worse happening.Now I'm watching the gymnastics world championships and marvelling at the ability of all these athletes. Seem so very long ago when the world was stunned by the perfomance of Olga Kurbut at Munich 1972. Mind you, events there overtook the delight of Olga.

Nanny - hope you soon feel better. Surely it's a case of head down and feet up for you!

My goodness its blowing a hoolie outside and chucking it down with rain...I put the towels in the dryer, I was afraid the wind would blow them off the line.

There are awful fires in LA again, our cousin has had his electricity cut off for 2 days, although the fires are north of where he lives.

Just had our fish and chips, no dessert.....OH may have a choc ice or some ice cream.
