Claim Question

Hi,
My partner had a crash last year whereas she was pulling out of a petrol station to turn right a car came out of the traffic and proceeded into the hashed markings and hit her.
Naturally the other drive denied liability and her insurance initially offered 50-50 and then upped it to 80-20 however it was referred to the legal department and court proceedings have JUST been started.
Now this incident occurred last December so obviously it’s been a while.
My question is;
Is this a normal time frame for this?
Obviously my partner at the time paid the excess of £350, and she would prefer it all back really as legally she wasn’t actually in the wrong.
Also when she’s had her renewal this year she now has 3 instead of 9, but I’m assuming this is correct judging by a quick google search but the claim is also classified as TBC on her policy renewal along with her double insurance premium!

That's not an unusual time frame.
If she wins, she can seek to get her excess from the third party.0
