I told him my system quite a while before he was in poverty, but he did not believe me and/or was not listening to me at the time.....i gave him instructions, but he did not follow them....because he did not give a damn at the time...so where did he end up? Poverty.....
You could feel like you were in poverty if you had no cash because it was all in notice accounts.0 -

Not many people know it removes the temptation , the opportunity or possibility of wasting money....
Im just sharing the way i look at it ...and it works....so hopefully this may profit someone out there:)
You may even see me handing it out in the street for the many who are struggling with it....
But this is MSE. We're all a bit tight fisted with money anyway so the old argument over temptation to spend & waste doesnt really exist.
If you wanted to take it further, you could start locking money away in 5 year fixed rate accounts then you wouldnt be able to access it for 5 years.0 -
Open a SIPP and save in a globally diversified index mutual fund, or pay extra into a personal or work pension.
THAT's the ONLY way to take money away from temptation! If you want to be rich, live like you're poor; if you want to be poor, live like you're rich.0 -

I would feel worse if i had no pot stored up...
You would have to endure 3 months of hardship if you absolutely desperately needed the money if you lose your income
But at least you will know that you have a pot stored up so it will make it far easier....it would also work in your favour if you ask for any assistance from anyone if things got so bad....
You Could also just take out a 1 month notice...so you only have to endure a month...
But for me 1 month is too soon...0 -
