Under offer and just seen up for sale with another estate agent??

Hi there!
We're currently under offer to buy a house. After 3 months going through the paperwork of selling our flat - our buyer pulled out just before completion. Our flat is now back on the market as we're still in the chain. It's been 3 weeks with viewings (hopeful to get another buyer soon) and I've just seen the house that we're under offer with, has suddenly appeared on Rightmove under another estate agent for sale!?. So the house is for sale via one estate agent and also under offer via us with another estate agent. Is this the norm!? It's put a bit of a sour taste in my mouth to be honest...not to mention added stress and sleepless nights...
Our survey of the house has been done, mortgage is in place and good to go...
Many thanks,
C:(

I'd be querying that with your Estate agent (the one your accepted offer is with), to speak directly to the vendor and find out what is going on. That's not on at all.
I can see you've been trying to sell your flat for 3+ months, but how long ago since the vendor accepted your offer?0 -
You're no longer a proceedable buyer, so it's not unreasonable for the seller to put their house back on the market. (It could be months before you find another buyer.)
But it was probably a bit rude not to tell you.
Once you have a buyer, it would be reasonable to expect them to stop marketing it again.0 -
Well it was 3 months ago that our offer was accepted. Then we were all in the chain. Doing surveys, paid £500 extra to fast track our mortgage via independent financial advisors. Got that done in 6 days! Then just processing with our buyers. Who pulled out right at the end!! Looks like another sleepless night waiting for our estate agent doors to open and make a call.0

Maybe I should also be for up for sale with both of those estate agents then?0

I wouldn't. Everyone looks online. If you're on Rightmove, you're on Rightmove. Adding a second listing only makes you look desperate and means you'll likely get a lower price."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
Happy mental health day eh0

I think due to brexit and poor/slow market. Its already been tough. We waited 6 months to get a buyer. Pretty much given up this whole year to move0

We're with two estate agents already. Due to agreeing to ironically going with the same estate agent selling the house we want, after our buyer fell through. It's proved worthwhile as first estate would bring 1 viewer every 2 weeks (can let go) . Whereas the new estate agent we are getting 4/5 viewings a week. It's tough out there0

If you have had 3 weeks with 4/5 viewings per week and not an offer yet, then this is surprising. How does your property compare in price to sold prices for similar properties recently?0

I'd still drop agent 1 as soon as the contract is up. It's unusual to not get offers if you're getting 4/5 viewings a week. If you're brave enough for criticism, you could always post the listing on here. There's a good chance it's price, but I don't think you can be far off if you're getting viewings at least.
Did the first buyer give reasons from dropping out? Could this be connected to something that is putting off the people who do view?"Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0
