Then why did they attempt to take the direct debit?
It appears that the car insurance people were at fault as well then by attempting to take a direct debit when no money was due? I don't hear a single word of criticism or balme for that though ….. everything is the fault of the bank!
Because it’s the bank that is at fault. Had I not closed the account, and the insurance company applied for the DD then I can assure you it would be them I’d be annoyed with.
The bank account should have been closed, it wasn’t. That’s the problem.0 -
So many contradictions.

And no, there really isn’t any contradictions.0 -

But you specifically said “payday loans”.
You’re going in circles now.
You need to get your story straight especially if you intend to go to the bank with it.0 -

I said “I mean LIKE, payday loan interest, not just from 3% to 9%” as an example of high interest. I didn’t say I took out a payday loan.
I feel I’ve been clear, just picking any tiny holes or maybes in a discussion. I’m not complaining to the bank here, I’m looking for advice. I said early, thread closed, appreciate everyone’s help.0
