Outfox The Market - Notice of Change of Tariff
Been a customer of Outfox The Market for nearly 2 years but just received an email with the message:-
"OTM0042511 - Notice of Change of Tariff for the Supply of Energy"
This tariff change will be put into effect from 24th October 2019.
So I am now being forced from my Current Tariff "One Variable Plus 1.0" to a new tariff "Clean VE 1.0"
This results is an Increase in Annual Cost of £198.87
So, I have done nothing but they have forced me onto a much more expensive internal tariff against my will at such short notice I am unlikely to be able to switch away in time.
Charming.

Yeah well that's the risk you take with a variable product.
If you don't wish for unexpected hikes, seek out a fix.0 -

But as said you choose a variable tariff that can go up or down instead of a fixed tariff .

I’m sure they are legally obliged to give you 30 days notice of a price increase. Have you just received this email?0

So your coming up to the end of your current contract, nothing untoward.
Need to know actual usage last 12 months.
Prices have risen numerous times the last two years more so the last 18 months. Expect an increase but they will still be far cheaper than all other providers.0 -
Notice was provided on 25 Sep 2019.
Speak to your email provider to find out why they have delayed your email for over 2 weeks.
If you get a change of supplier request in now, although it probably won't complete by 24-Oct as you say, you will remain on the current traiff as long as it completes shortly therefafter. You are probably only talking about a day or so for electric, and possibly up to a week for gas, past the 24-Oct. anyway.0 -
I commenced One Variable Plus 1.0 on October 4 2019. I have not received any such notification.0
