Cast Iron gutters time to replace but with what?

On a standard two floor terrace with access how much should I expect to pay to remove 5.5m cast iron gutter and replace with another cast iron gutter?
Would it be cheaper to go with a plastic gutter?

Unless it's a Listed property it will be much cheaper to use plastic.
Does it join onto your neighbour's gutter, if so is that cast iron?
You can join plastic to cast iron but it takes a little more care and is more likely to leak.0 -
I would certainly expect plastic to be cheaper than cast iron. It will be much easier to handle and therefore faster to install. More forgiving of being dropped too.0

Cast aluminium is an option if you want to preserve a period look.0

What's wrong with the guttering? Cast iron can last 100+ years. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

Can but usually doesn't.0

FloPlast do a cast iron-effect plastic gutter range. It's available at Wickes to it is easy to see what it looks like online. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Plastic every time for me. Quick and easy to put up. Long lasting, and doesn't do any damage if it does happen to come down!0

If it's a plastic gutter does that mean it needs a wooden backing board to affix to?0

Cast is eyewatering expensive, heavy to fit and will need painting/rubbing back every few years.... I cant TBH think of a positive.
An alternative to plastic is pressed galv and powder coated steel, These wont warp in summer, and although uncommon here are used extensively in Europe which generally don't touch plastic anything as it doesn't cope well with the extreme temperatures.
I really like the steel bit more to buy than plastic but far cheaper than cast and needs no painting, Mostly German made so install's nicely and works well.0 -

Can you link me to some suppliers or brands so I know what to ask for.
