Charged Twice for Petrol - Asda Swindon
Windflower
Last Sunday I put £20.00 of unleaded petrol in my car at my local Asda in West Swindon, Wiltshire, and paid at the kiosk with Apple Pay. Unfortunately, I put the receipt straight into my handbag without looking due to the queue of cars behind me. It wasn't until I was checking my account last night that I now realise I have been charged for two lots of fuel.
The receipt shows one transaction for £20.01 of Diesel from Pump 12; and the second transaction for Unleaded £20.00 from Pump 5 (the pump I used). I have also had £40.01 taken from my bank account.
I wonder if the person who used Pump 12 was told his/her petrol had already been paid for when they got to the kiosk??!
Any ideas how I can query this and get a refund, as I don't think I'm able to just walk up to the kiosk on the petrol forecourt?
Thanks, Alison

Thanks - however that's the number for the Customer Service desk in-store; I'm planning to call in after work, and I hope they will be able to assist with fuel queries!

Why are you not able to just walk up to the kiosk ?
That would seem to be the best option0 -

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to.
The petrol station is part of Asda, you really should be more careful.
Did the staff member say it's £40.01 ?
Why did you not query it when you saw it on the payment terminal ?0 -

No chance via bank as Apple pay was used and the debit amount will have been the £40.01. Nothing to show 2 separate debits.Life in the slow lane0
