PPI Charge

Hi all, I'm looking for advice.

I signed up with Taylor Edwards to check if I had PPI, my bank were contacted by Taylor Edwards but had to deal directly with me as I had changed address & not updated my account details.

So in essence I had to do the work that I would be paying Taylor Edwards for - do I still need to pay them?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. All the claims company does is post your complaint for you.

Everything else is down to you.

They did their job so you'll need to pay them for their efforts.

Yes. You employed them and entered into a contract with them. All CMCs do is send your complaint to the bank. Nothing beyond that. You basically agreed to pay them to stick your complaint in an envelope and send it to the right address to use the free-of-charge complaints process. They did what you agreed to pay them to do.
