If breakdown cover is cancelled...…..
Does that mean YES to the question on car insurance, have you had any insurance cancelled or voided?

It depends on how the question is worded. If they ask have you ever had an insurance policy cancelled then the answer is 'Yes'. If they ask whether you have ever had a motor insurance policy voided the answer is 'No'.
Either way you best course of action is honesty. I had a landlord's insurance policy voided - long story but the status of my tenant did not comply with the terms of the policy. When I was looking for car insurance I was asked "Have you ever had an insurance policy cancelled" I was honest, answered yes and explained the circumstances. The underwriter in this case was not fussed and it had no impact on my car insurance.0
