Hi Sparky - Have you never heard of the Nat West Piggies?? THey were given to children opening accounts in the 1980's - there were five, Sir Nathaniel, Lady Matilda, Woody and two others . They can be worth about £500 a set now and I have a complete set of them!!!!!
  • Evening all,

Well done Sparky on the claim, I was down your neck of the woods the other day, had to help with a call to Morrissons in Speke.

MM - join in now. We're a friendly and slightly insane bunch, but welcome!

Surfbabe - I remember those pigs. Wish i had a set now! Sgt. Save is getting very fat indeed!

    Cheeky! lol.

I know what you mean about the loose change. Still, I'm taking my neice and nephew out today. They have eyes like hawks, so that might be fun on the penny spotting front.

I've already printed them off Martins Money Guide for teenagers to point them in the right direction, and we're going to have a little chat over lunch about savings accounts and why they're important.... :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day, catch you all later

  • I'm still chipping away and putting into my pot, not feeling too heavy at the moment but still got 9 weeks to go. I'd like to join in again next year please don't mind keeping my number as i joined in late.

wish i was like my youngest son (9), but think i'd get taken away by men in white coats, when we're out and it doesn't matter to him at all he will find the big vending machines lie on his stomach and scrabble under them looking for loose change always comes up trumps, and unlike eldest (12) he can save his money if there's nothing he particularly wants eldest will spend it on tat and then complain when he's got nothing

    Hi stunty

You know, if everyone one followed your great example kids would be so much better off than us later ...or have the chance to be at least. Good for you and keep catching 'em while they're young with all great values! See you later stunty.

  • Hi all - I can't quite believe it's only 9 weeks to go!

I've done a few mystery shops this week - so lots of gold coins in my terramundi.

My other pottie is sooooooooo nearly full, but has been like that for weeks, it just doesn't seem to want to fill up.

Keep going people, you're all doing great!

Well done on the bank charges stunty.:T:T:T
    Save me from spending...

Will have to open next month as need to buy the DS's before the xmas rush & they sell out. Still can't understand how the shops run out when they know there will be a large demand!

Had 12 week scan, baby is very wriggly & looks lovely!
