Hi, Would love to join this! DH and I both have sealed tins we are saving in. We're having a mini competition between both of us:

When both tins are full we open each and count...whoever has the most is allowed £50 out of the pot for their own spends as a reward and the rest is pooled for a special event/holiday money etc.

It's motivating both of us to keep saving!! He is saving all his daily change and I am saving £2 coins and my weekly purse change.

Not sure the tin will be full by Christmas but I am hoping so!!!

    Thanks!

Hi guys, sorry i havn't been round much but there has been alot going on round hear, DS was the victim of robbery a couple of weeks ago, they took his mobile and gave him a bit of a kicking and then i had to re-do loads of college work, the pen drive thingy it was on stoped working, most of it was on my laptop but some i had to re-do and on top of that last tuesday got a call to say it all had to hand in in the next 24 hours, so i had to knock out 2 x 2000 word essays:eek: it got done just in time with a bit of help from my mates:T. anyway on a better note, DS has now left school and is going to college in sep and in the mean time he has got a part time job, he is on £6.66p an hour working at manchester airport. i now only have the psycology part of my course to finish and everything crossed i should be of to uni in sep. the money saving isn't going to well just keep sticking small change in my pot.
Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/140
