Credit card insurance
Hi everyone,
Hope you can help me. I've asked for credit card statements, so I can get a figure of the repayment cover & also late payment fees  (I know!), and I've received statements from Capital One & the Halifax so far.
Capital One
PPI cover amounts to £110.30, add 8% interest this takes the total to - £119.12, also Late payment fees (6) @ £20 = £120, add 8% interest £129.60. there are also 3 Late Payment Fees @ £12 each. Am I right in assuming I cannot reclaim these last 3. (248.72 Total reclaim)
Halifax
PPI cover amounts to £578.97, add 8% interest £46.31 this takes the total to £625.29, again 3 late payment charges of £12 each. The other curious thing is that the halifax in their cover letter to me have stated the date the account was opened. (£625.29 Total reclaim)
So far I have worked out that my reclaim will be worth £874  , this is without the 6 late payment charges between the 2 accounts. Am I right in thinking that I can go ahead and try to reclaim these charges.
Thanks in advance for any help/replies
Hiya Sparky, you can reclaim for all those fees. PPI will have to go seperate and via the Ombudsman, but late fees (yes even the £12 ones to cover a letter and a stamp) can be reclaimed. Go for it mate.
PM me if you get stuck, I might not be able to give you an immediate reply, but you will get one!I am one of the 63336.'It is better to have lived one day as a tiger than a thousand years as a sheep.'

Do you think there's an underlying issue here with all this talk of drink? It's enough to make me want to go home and crack open another bottle of vino. Been really busy tonight with writing PPI letters, I had one from paragon who said that I had to claim through the broker, even though paragon were the company who lent the money to mefigure that one out.
Any way I digress, I'm off home soon for that vino, b*gger the figure lol. Hopefully catch up with you all tomorrow.
