Morning all - its cold here today - although not as cold as yesterday (it was minus 7C when I went out yesterday mornign for my 4 mile walk - but was lovely going across the fields). Well Spot the Pig is filling up nicely - He has £25 in notes in him and lots of change. Not weighing him till end of month though. We need lots of spending money for USa t Christmas. Booked flights when they opened two weeks ago and got them for £498 each, this Friday they had gone up to £705 each !!!!

How did Valentines day go Stunty? DH and I were relegated to kitchen with our dinner as DD (aged16) cooked lovely meal for her and her boyfriend and took over dining room complete with candles, etc.

Anyway off soon on another walk as don;t have to go into school today as its a NPD.

    Have a good one everyone.

For those of you with teenage kids here is a sure fire way of adding to your pots.;) I have 2 lads sharing a room, the 16 year old is quite tidy, the 18 year old completely the opposite. No matter how many times I ask him to tidy up it is never up to my standards (maybe they are too high....I hate mess) so now occasionally I go in and get EVERYTHING out from under the bed and give it a tidy up. He has a habit of dropping things wherever he is so 9 times out of 10 this means odd change too. Yesterday I found 20p under there so with the old saying (finders keepers) ringing in my head, I pocketed it and popped it in my pot.:rotfl: I have told him I will do this in future in the hope he will keep a rein on the mess but I doubt it.
    £2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.

Hello to all, happy change saving :) Haven't had time to catch up here yet, is Mumzy back?

Poppett, I have an 18 year-old who actually tidies his room and now drops the odd pennies in the pot himself. :j
This, however, only came about after a lecture about responsibility, saving, thoughtless spending and a stern warning that he wasn't too old to have his 'toys' binned if left lying around the place (CDs, games discs and car parts!!!). I think I should be in the 'bad mothers club'. :rotfl:

    Evening molly,
Are you OK this evening, starting to get cold in Liverpool, supposed to be dropping to minus 8 here tonight, so it's a good excuse to crack open a bottle of vino about 11:15 tonight (just to thaw me out you
understand!) when I get home from work. Also managed to bag 4 hours overtime for tomorrow, adding that to Saturday's overtime next Thursday to make another dent in the debt. DW is worried that we're struggling because she never got a wage rise even after getting a glowing appraisal from her manger, told her not to worry, won't be kicking her out just yet lol! :rotfl:

    :)

Just adding a comment about the weird skies! I noticed it yesterday too! Around 5.30ish. I had closed the blinds, but had to go look outside as I was expecting to see the start of a massive snow storm! It did it tonight again, but the sky is now, as last night, clear and starry with a very bright moon. It's bitterly cold & frosty out there, doesn't half catch your breath. Looks nice, though. :D

Morning - re last night's sky - It was fantastic here in Essex if not a little weird - the light was amazing.

Not so cold here today - well only minus 1 at moment.

Off to work shortly so have a good one
