Hello all, I've finished making my papier mache pig, which should be dry enough to paint tomorrow. I had another silly idea though! LOL As there won't be any stats to keep in my signature, I'm going to weigh my pig once a week and add his (or her?) weight into my signature LOL I made him/her from a Children in Need balloon and last week's local then used an egg carton to make the legs and snout, just like we used to years ago. I even made the flour and water paste! If this looks ok when painted, I might even make more and add them to my product list for the 'cottage industry' challenge!
Pig's a-weigh on SaturdayI reserve the right not to spend.

I got a set of electronic kitchen scales out the local charity shop and have been using them as postal scales for about 2 years now. Guess they'll be known as the Pig Scales from this weekend onwards LOL
Tomorrow is 'paint the pig' day,
Anyone got some tartan paint?:rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.

I MADE the pig - a balloon covered in papier mache with egg carton cut-outs for legs and a snout - he's my paper pig, and needs to get painted to cover the news print LOL I'll take a piccie of him once he's painted.I reserve the right not to spend.

That is such a good idea!! I didn't want to keep the total running as I'd like to keep it a surprise for next year, at least with weighing it I'll have something to edit each week!:D
I once made a piggy bank for a friend using a balloon and egg cartons, I was a little confused about how to make the stopper. In the end I used the top of a milk carton, the litre, screw top kind, and made it into the piggys nose. It was the perfect shape, and to empty the pig all you had to do was unscrew the nose and tip it up!
Ooh by the way Mumzy, don't mean to moan, but you've spelt my name wrong. You did ask to let you know!:D
