I'd love to join in. I dont get a lot of money each month & 4 children are great at eating into it. We save all coins up to 20p to go towards a camping holiday so I'll save my 50p's - £2 I'd love to have £100 in it but I'll be ambitious & say £150 by dec next year.
I love the save the change thing at the bank. Which bank is it that does it? any ideas.
Hugs

welcome to everyone who has joined lately. I will update the list of whos int his challenge later..im still in shock! some sales guy came to my door and he looked dodgy and spoke dodgy..he said if i was intersted in a grant for heating. I said no no and he said have u already got it so i said yeh yeh and went to close door...i did and also locked it..but just as i had finished locking it, he pushed handle down and realsing it was locked he kicked my door. i ran upstairs and rang the police but not 999. I was shaken as soon as he kicked the door but when i was actually at the door i was so calm. Police said thy would get offices to look out for him and visit me if needed. I was home alone i never answer the door as my oh usually does but il never answer again when im alone. Im just scared that they might come back another night thats only reason why i rang police and that there is old people live round here. I will be sleepin with a knife and my phone tonight lolSealed Pot dec 08 - dec 09 so far £27.67, Live off £4k Spent £330.20 GC £1,200 for 2009 Spent £50.78 PaD so far £650.07Debts: L/woods £154.00 C/One PAID O/D £649.90 Next £299.95 O/D PAID Gas £72.60 Electric £155.73 Mum £640.00 Orange £490.320

Oh no Mumzyof2. Hope you are ok? I'd have so called the police too. Although knowing me I'd have sat there all brave afterwards going through all the things I'd do to 'him' (if you can call him that) if he came back. Obviously wouldnt actually act on them. LolAnyway my aim for this challenge is £500!! Going shopping tomorrow for a sealed tin, just don't trust myself. not restrained enough to not dip in. also have set a weekly budget of £40 which sounds a lot, but that will include £20 for petrol. Then anything left of this budget will go in the sealed tin. Already save 5p's, and have a pot that counts the money up as you put in which cannot use for this challenge so thinking of joining the £2 challenge.Trying not to set myself too many challenges as new to all this, but cant seem to help myself. xxSPC 18 Target £200 /0

Started saving 20p's and under in a giant whisky bottle a month ago. Don't want to open it so this will give me the incentive I need NOT to open it before the end of 2008, so please count me inSealed Pot Callenge No 0740 -
hey, everyone is talking about them sealed tins which i think is a brilliant idea as a have ordered a good few. u may b able to find them cheaper elsewhere but incase u cant i got mine from a website called www.jumpinggaraffe.com theyre pretty big and cost £2 each or you can get smaller 1s for a pound.Due to budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel will be switched off.
