Anglian windows double glazing quote.

Hi all,

Can i get your views on if you think of this quote.

13 windows Flush Casement Window (A+ rated glass) (5 x mullion windows)
1 door (2 side panels)

Quote is £13562

Get other quotes, but as this Anglian I feel confident in saying they are taking the mickey and a local firm will offer the same quality windows for a lot less.

Give it a couple of days and most likely Anglian will be calling you up offering bronze, silver or gold discounts if you sign today.....don't do it

what material are they made from because for flush aluminium is about right , you can get flush casement PVCu frames in metal colours for a lot less .

About 12 years ago, Everest gave us a quote of just over 10k for 10 windows.

I laughed at the salesman.

He asked what I thought the quote should be, I said 2.5k.

He then put on a huge act, claimed that had installers doing nothing due to another job being cancelled etc and offered me the windows for £3200 if I signed there and then..

I said no and asked him to leave.

Following day I phoned up Anglian, told the guy I don't want any crap from a salseman, I've got Everest down to 3200 for 10 windows, and asked if they could match it. He instantly agreed.

The way they give quotes should be made illegal in my opinion.

Most of the stuff they use costs pence for them to buy.

A builder I know, said at the time that I could have got them down to £200 a window.
