Concert cancelled then rescheduled without informing ticket holder

Would appreciate some advice

I booked a ticket online to a music concert. On the day of the event, the ticket issuing company emailed to say the concert was cancelled due to illness and that "We are currently working on rescheduling the show and details will be announced soon."

There was no further communication, but having looked at the ticket company site to enquire, I learn that the show was rescheduled and I missed it.

Any comments on this: was it reasonable to only annnounce the resceduled date on the website?

Since the tickets were booked online, delivered by email, and the cancellation announced by email, I feel the rescheduled date should also have been notified by email.

Have I got a leg to stand on?

The ticket was £24.75 + £1 transaction fee.

Thanks for any advice.

The webite blocked my refund request due to it being a past event. I've contacted them using a different and non-applicable reason so don't have high expectations. I wanted to get some sense of whether the grievance is reasonable in consumer rights terms.

Yes it’s totally reasonable to be informed off new concert date by the same method they informed you of the rescheduling
They have your email details so it’s a durable means of contact
