BG switch for people with existing 5 year boiler cover
Hi - we recently got a new boiler fitted by British Gas. This included 5 year boiler cover and 1 year hot water/heating cover.
The energy club currently has a good switch, which includes the 1 year heating cover.
The question I specifically have is, has anyone done a switch whilst they have the 5 year boiler cover, and, 1 year after doing the switch, has the boiler cover continued OK? And did you cancel the "free" cover after the 1 year, or did you take on a new policy just to cover the heating/hot water?
Before I got the new boiler I'd had BG cover on my system for many years and have been very happy with that service, but when the new boiler cover took over, we had some issues with the handling of the policy/cover so am worried it will get messed up if I do a switch via MSe...
Cheers,
Richard
