PCN for 6min after parking expire at Edinburgh council

Hi everyone,
I am seeking advice for if I should continue to challenge a PCN.
The PCN was issued by Edinburgh Council (street paying parking bay). I parked on King's Stables Road, paid for 1 hr parking through RingGo from 3:24 to 4:24pm. When I returned at 4:30 (6 mins after expiration) I saw warden issuing the PCN.
I am aware that a 10-min grace period should be given before a parking ticket can be issued by law, but I got this PCN for only overstayed for 6 mins. Therefore, an appeal was made to the council, but was rejected quoting:"...We allow drivers five minutes grace in this situation...".
Could someone please advice me that if I should continue to challenge this PCN?
Is "10-min grace period" a English law? Do Scottish Councils give such grace?
I have attached the PCN, RingGo receipt and rejection from the council here.

Thanks in advance for the help.

As we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering) and post a new thread; here's your link:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=30
Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Edinburgh’s appeal upheld rate was very high the last time I looked - amongst the highest in the country.
So it is very much worth heading over to Pepipoo and putting one together properly.0 -
Thanks. I will take a look at PePiPoo, and will update this thread for any progress. Appreciate your live links.0

If I am in the right, I will defend to the very last minute. When I told the warden about the 10-min leeway, she replied "Do you wanna do my job?!". Guessing her attitude got to me. I will take a look at PePiPoo, cheers.0

After reading quite a few posts on PePiPoo, the essence is that the 10-min grace period law is an English law, and Scotland has no such law. Each Council in Scotland can make their own parking rules. So, you are game immediately to wardens after parking sessions expire.0
