Packaged Current Account Travel Insurance charge for existing medical condition.

Contacted my packaged Current Account Travel Insurance to update them about family members existing medical condition yesterday.
The medical condition in question is minor and is unlikely to ever result in any circumstance that would require a claim.
I was quoted £115 to include this in the policy.
This seemed a lot so I declined and checked to see how much comparable insurance would be for the family member.
Turns out I can insure them for a full year for £30 (new policy - similar cover). I could also cover them just for our 2 week holiday this month for under £10 (single trip).
Given that the £115 quote was just a top up to existing cover & the £30 policy was a brand new policy covering everything it seems as though my banks offer was poor value to say the least.
Now will check out if its worth binning the packaged account or just buying the elements separately. (although with 4 mobiles in the family it may be worth keeping it just for the mobile insurance).
As they the old saying goes - "shop around or pay more pound".
(I just made that up so perhaps not so old....).
