Hi,
I wondered if anyone can advise where I stand on the following please?
We booked a holiday costing £3800 a month ago. Paid the first installment by credit card and were to continue using the same card for future installments due tk the added protection of doing so.
Next installment of circa £400 was due 4th October. Thought nothing of it, it would just charge to my card. Received an email from OTB advising I was getting a refund. I presumed it was because the flight portion of the holiday was Thomas Cook and they couldnt find and similar type flights.
Just received an email saying that had debited my card in error and the refund of £400 was for this.
Went onto my OTB account and there were no less than 10 transactions over a 3 day period totalling circa TWO THOUSAND pounds! We chose OTB as wanted to pay in installments, pay on credit card and then reimburse the card so we didnt fall into debt.
Im absolutely outraged and can not afford the montly repayment on a £2k balance that I hadn't budgeted for.
Even if its an error surely they have a duty of care to actually call me??
Whats my recourse on this? Credit card company first? Ive submitted a complaint to OTB as of course there phone number is nowhere on the site. But Im livid and panicking a little.
Thanks so much for any advice
