Any free yet decent eBay sniper/bidder? (Not Gixen, it wants money)

Gixen was a great tool but it's owner now wants money (yes, you can still have 4 free snipes per month, how generous!).
I used jBidWatcher some years ago, it was unreliable.
So, are there any free yet decent snipers left?

Don't be so mean! AFAIK Gixen is only around £6 per year, hardly enough to break the bank for such a service. I've been happy to pay over the past couple of years even though it wasn't mandatory. Running costs need to be met & it's unfair to expect the owner of the site to pay all, whilst users who benefit from the service pay nowt.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

It's actually four free successful bids per month. But it only costs US$6 a year (or less if you go fro a recurring subscription) for unlimited snipes.

It costs Mario a lot of time and money to produce and maintain the code, pay eBay for the use of their API, and to rent two high-capacity geographically separated servers. Who do you think should pay for this?

eBay kept making too many changes, and Morgan just didn't have enough time to devote to keep updating the code (especially after his children were born and he needed to concentrate on his day job in order to pay the bills at home).

None that I know of. Perhaps you might consider hiring some developers and servers, and offering a free sniping service for everybody?!

I've bookmarked https://www.myibidder.com/ to try as an alternative to gixen which appears to be completely free but I haven't tested it yet.
To be fair to the original poster, this is a money-saving website so I don't think it's an unreasonable query. There were loads of free snipers in the past and most people didn't pay to use them. What changed?
  • Found Gixen to be unreliable, twice I've tried it and twice it failed to log my bid.

    Bump.......
  • Gixen has a free service doesn't it if you are willing to look at 30 seconds of ads when you log in?

I pay for Gixen and find it reliable. I used to use Goofbid for free but it started charging. I don't know how much it is now.
  • For $6 a year, Gixen is unbeatable. Tried free ones in the past and you can't rely on them.
