DRO complete - being chased for old debt
Hi there,
I had a DRO which ended in November 2018, I was removed from the register February '19 after completing the year.
I have now received an enforcement letter relating to a council tax debt covered by the DRO.
I am just about to email them and my council a copy of my DRO letter but have noticed that although the debt was relating to my council which I stated in my application and gave my council tax reference, the insolvency service have listed the recovery agents name only.
Please, can anyone advise me. Does this mean I now owe the debt again?

What period is the council tax debt for ? When was the liability order granted in respect of it ?I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Your intermediary would have entered a reference number. This does not get passed on to the creditor but if you ask the DRO team they will give it to you ad you should be able to trace it back to the council tax bill.
It's a common mistake made by inexperienced intermediaries.0 -
the DRO started November 2017, the liability order was 2016 I can't remember the month. It was definitely covered in DRO but my letter says the enforcement agents instead of the actual council.0

I have sent an email to the council and attached my letter from the insolvency service which states the enforcement office they used. Thanks for your suggestion I will follow this up, I just hope my details were entered correctly.0
