Fraudulent and disputed transactions - how long to refund?

I spotted a dodgy transaction on my Tesco card (to Betamax Voip) on 1st November and reported it straight away.
They cancelled my card and have issued a new one. I've phoned their fraud department twice since then to find out what's happening, and just get told it's being investigated. Apparently I can't speak to the Investigations team, and the fraud team can't give an update (so what's the point of their existence, I wonder???)
It's for less than a tenner but it's most definitely not my transaction. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a refund in this situation.
Also, I made a purchase 2 months ago on my Nationwide card. The transaction is now in dispute as the company has failed to deliver half the order. I've returned the disputed transaction form and all my paperwork to Nationwide, but does anyone know how long it usually takes them to process these things and do a refund?
Been using cards for 10 years without incident - then 2 problems at once !
