Hi All
i recently applied for a PPI under the guidance of this website, i received an offer from the bank but am unsure if I should accept the offer as I do not know how much I paid for the PPI. The loan was over 10 years ago and my credit check no longer holds this information. I threw away paperwork regarding this loan as I was overjoyed when I had paid it off. I am veyr happy for the offer ( so thank you Mr Lewis & team) just not sure how to proceed, anyone with experience can you please advise?
Many thanks
Ann

If your complaint was upheld, they will offer yo the amont paid in PPI, plus interest plus 8% interest.
There is no 'offer'. Redress is defined.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

If you remain sceptical that the Bank are somehow underpaying PPI redress, you can send them a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter which will provide you with all information the Bank has kept on file for you. However, note that this will only be the same information which the Bank used to calculate your redress and will therefore likely be an entirely fruitless exercise. Remember, the "offer" is not an invitation to haggle; it's a full refund plus interest.
If I were you, I'd stop stressing and just enjoy your refund.0 -
