your own christmas family traditions and new ones

Me and my sisters are aged 23, 26 and 30 and we still have the same traditions when we go home at Christmas!! We have stocking on the ends of our bed and have to have breakfast before we are even allowed into the room with presents. We have 1 present on the breakfast table to keep us amused!!
When everyone has finished we are allowed into the presnt room where we each have a sofa/rug with all our presents on. We then take it in turns to open a present which everyone has to pay attention to. This means it can last easily till 12/1pm as everyone gets distracted with presents. It's my favourite time of the whole year!0 -
Oh what a great thread!
I have 4 kids and have lots of little things that have to be done each year
1-New pjs on xmas eve.
2-Mince pie and milk, and bucket of water and magic reindeer food.
3-We sit down together and watch a xmas film every weekend from the start of december.
4-We too do tree presents which we open after dinner, only something small around £5.
5-We have xmas breakfast before going into living room to check if santa has been.
New things iv started this year include, myself and dh are going to film santa arriving on xmas eve, we will do this whilst kids are at school, dh is going to dress up as father christmas and im going to video him going into the kids rooms, whilst our friends makes sleigh bell noises in background. Then on xmas morning i can tell them we hear santa and managed to catch him on tape, which we will watch upstairs in the kids rooms before going downstairs.
2- Im going to make a tea time treasure hunt for one last present, with lots of clues and puzzles to solve to find the missing gift!!
Oh i hope everone has lots of fun this christmas, i know i will.!!Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
