Hoping I'm posting this in the correct place.
I took out Lamp home insurance and the underwriters basically went bust less than 3 months after I took out the policy. I took the decision to set up a new insurance policy elsewhere as wasn't risking the house not being covered and I contacted my Mastercard company and got a claim back payment agreed by them and applied months ago (there was a post running a while back and others had done the same).
Thought that was that but I have now had a chq through the post from the FSCS as a refund of premium (50quid less than the credit card claim payment) and I'm not sure what to do with it.
if I bank it will I then be charged by my credit card company for the money they refunded?
Should I bin it or will the credit card company be looking for their cheque from FSCS and its come to me in error?
Not sure how this works?
