The National Museum is well worth a visit, it's free and under cover.
If the Scottish parliament is in session you can go and watch debates. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
National museum is brilliant. A mini Science, Natural History, V&A and British Museum in one building.
You need a full day if you really want to give it justice.
Royal Yacht is another attraction where you can spend well over half a day, well worth the money. Get there for opening and you will have a head start before the crowds arrive.0 -
Rosslyn Chapel less than an hour away by bus from E'burgh. Lothian buses No. 37 to Penicuik/Deanburn.
