    Recently started giving my two (9 and 7) £1 a week....reading this thread makes me seem really cheap!

    I gave my daughter the choice of half her age per week or twice her age per month, she worked out the weekly offering was better and chose that! I also pay for her phone sim on top of that which is £5pm.


    She uses her money to buy non-essential clothes, toiletries, treats, snacks etc. Luckily she is a charity shop fiend so gets a lot for her money!
