Hi
Not sure if this the right place to ask but i was trying to switch to.sky which i did, however when they came to install the tv part there wsd an issue with reciever box in my loft. We contacted my housing association to get this fixed and just over a month later its not fixed and i have been trying to get fixed. So i decided that is there is no point in staying with sky if i cant get the package that i signed up for.
This was on 15th of August 2019
When i contacted then to explain what was happening they advise me that they had already cancelled the tv side and i was only getting the broadband which i was being charged for.
They advise me to cancel now they will charge me £112 as i am out with my cooling period, i was not aware this would take so long to try and get an answer?
Is there a way out of paying this charge? As i really cant afford to pay this?

Is the problem not your Housing Association rather than Sky ??
TV etc not part of the main contract but an add on still leaves BB in contract .
When did you inform Sky ?? of desire to cancel . Your posts reads as you waited until well after the 14 days .0 -

So you're not paying for TV then? You're just paying for the line/broadband?They advise me to cancel now they will charge me £112 as i am out with my cooling period, i was not aware this would take so long to try and get an answer?

Assuming you are now only paying for internet/broadband and not TV then this is correct as you are now outside of the cooling off period, so either see it out or pay up. Simple as.
Unfortunately its not Sky's problem that your communal dish (I presume it's communal) isn't working, but that shouldn't matter now as you say you're not being charged TV?
However the internet and telephone line is immaterial to do with the Housing Association and switching them to Sky can be done independently of whether your "receiver box in the loft" is working or not.0
