Housing Crash Coming
No it's not.
It might be a bit wobbly for a few months, but most sellers are holding on, or holding off....0 -
There are many perma property bulls on here that think there is no possibility of a downturn in house prices0

Exactly.
Though I would not poo poo the opening post I would give a 20% chance of a fall of 10% over the next three years, tops. With 350,000 immigrants hitting our shores every year still I give the chances of a property crash as close to a zero chance as is possible. Being a LL right now is probably the safest bet if there is a crash coming, people have to be housed.0 -

You would probably feel far happier on HPC.com, if you are not there already which I suspect you are. They make that very same statement as you have just done on a monthly basis and have said it for 20 years now. Honestly mate you would love it there, they all say the same thing as you so you will fit right in.0 -

Those perma prop bulls who deny the above are irrational and you will probably find they believe all kinds of other nonsense that the rest of us think is just as rubbish as the perma property bull market without any corrections along the way:)0 -

No there arent any.
There are plenty of people who think it’s not something to speculate on especially if sacrificing a home, family, relationship etc.
If you disagree then name them. Doubt you will.0 -
There will definitely be another downturn or lowering of property prices sometime in the future. How much it has to be to qualify as a crash is a matter of opinion, and also when it will be is unknown, but it’s certain there will be another lowering of property prices sometimes in the near future, infact we are long overdue the coming correction.

Can you name any perma prop bulls?0 -
Never really thought about it, but a funeral director is potentially the safest job of all time.
As safe as pretty much any other high street skilled profession (accountancy, law, hairdressing, etc).
I don't see that a funeral director has any special advantages. They can still hit difficulties if a cheaper funeral director opens nearby, or the local population declines, or there's a temporary lack of people dying, etc.0 -

It is not some academic debate about house prices and the economy. It is wicked to try to discourage people from making practical preparations, and therefore increasing their chances of financial calamity.
So exactly like everyone should be doing anyway. House prices will be neither here nor there if people can avoid being forced to sell up.0
