Dead/dying wasps on internal window sills

For about a month now I've been finding a few dead/dying wasps every day on my kitchen window sill and on the sill in my bathroom(the room above the kitchen) plus the odd ones in bedrooms. Will I have a nest somewhere, how to find it, is it something to worry about etc?

Probably have one in the eaves. One thing to give you some comfort is that when wasps leave a nest they don't come back to it. They should die off pretty soon now.0

It sounds like you did have a nest somewhere but they don't really cause any problems, apart from the wasps obviously. It will have been abandoned now more or less.
Wasps never reuse an old nest the following year so at least leaving it in place will stop them using the space for a new one.0 -
Just be careful if you are feeling your way around the attic in the dark through the winter - some will survive in a weakened state, but still able to make you swear when you put your hand on them! Don’t ask me how I know!

Exactly right!
Remembered to have a look today and spotted a lot buzzing around outside where my fascia/soffit board (not sure of terminology) seems to have rotted so I'll have to get that looked at now - I suppose it's better to wait til there's no sign of activity before getting someone to replace it or will a builder ask for the nest to be treated before he'll look at it?
Still don't get how they're getting into those particular rooms though. My attic is a bedroom and i've only found 1 or 2 in there.0
