vet failed to put claim in due time with insurance

  • After yesterdays excitment (I had to go to work and was in a hurry) I double checked the figures and we are indeed suffering a rather massive loss :/

Firing another email to the insurance claim person at the vet practice:
    Hi Amy,

thank you for your prompt reply.

Just to be sure: this means that after ASDA pays your latest claim for £2355.14 I will be left with £1448.73 of insurance cover for the current year?

By my reckoning my current year insurance cover should stand at:

    7500 (maximum vet fees cover)
    -2093 (20-08-2019)
    -2132.47 (30-08-2019)
    -67.62 (01-09-2019)
    -95.41 (02-09-2019)
    +85 (excess payable by me)
=3196.50 cover left for the current year

This would mean that your failure to claim for the February scan in due time (before the yearly renewal date of June 22nd) leaves me with a loss of cover for the current year through no fault of my own.
I would be glad if you could take this up with ASDA insurance to try and rectify the situation as this is cover I will need for Jiffys scans and treatments for the upcoming months.

    Kind regards,
