i had some work done on my garden in 2016 i have had problems with the work and the installer did not return to rectify when he said he would, June, i contacted my insurance and was told because the work was done before i took out their policy they won't cover the legal expenses and to contact my previous insurance as i will still be covered as i had a policy with them when i had the work done, does anyone know if this is true?

Yes, it would be your insurer from the time of the problem. Why has it taken 3 years to think about taking legal advice? (Limitation is 6 years)Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

i have been trying to resolve with the installer, then this year has run away with itself and it got put on the back burner as one of my dogs has been seriously ill since January and had 3 operations so i have been caring for him as my priority0
