Hi,for the last 20 years we have held a PPI policy with legal and general for our mortgage. This was set up by a L&G broker at the time we took out our endowment mortgage with L&G.
One year later in 2000 we switched mortgages to Direct Line and the Legal and General PPI on our mortgage continued.
This morning I received a letter from RBS (Direct Line) saying they are closing the PPI that we have on our Mortgage:shocked:
We have infact been paying two lots of PPI on our mortgage. On checking the Direct Line PPI premium was £44.07 per month for the last 19 years.
Would it be possible to claim for a refund on this?
Thanks.

You’re asking the wrong people - ask direct linehelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -

On what basis?
You can have multiple plans as long as the amount being protected is not greater than your salary. Are they both MPPI? L&G also retailed the PHI version of income protection and not just the PPI version.0 -
Thanks for your replies.
Yes they are both MMPI although at the time we set up the mortgage with the L&G broker it was named as something else. A year later in 2000 we set up the Direct Line repayment mortgage with their PPI and have been paying that ever since. It was only after going through the direct debits and documentation I realised we had in fact been paying for the same product for the last 19 years. Part of the oversight on my part was down to also having home insurance with L&G.0
