Bluetooth transfer times?

I just got myself a galaxy tab A and took some pictures and decided to transfer them to my computer using Bluetooth.
And it is taking anything from 30 secs to 2 minutes to transfer each picture.
And I have to go through the same thing each time, click on receive files, when finished click on finish then click on the Bluetooth icon and start all over again.
Is this normal or is it because I have an old Bluetooth version 1 USB adapter on my computer?
Will buying a version 5 Bluetooth adapter make any difference or should I just transfer the pictures using a cable?

Likely, but don't expect cable-transfer speeds.DavyJones61 wrote: »Will buying a version 5 Bluetooth adapter make any difference or should I just transfer the pictures using a cable?
Bluetooth is great if you are transferring one file or two and don't want to connect a cable, otherwise USB is the way to go, copy&paste as if it were an external disk.0 -
Just log into your google account and they will sync, no need for cables or Bluetooth these days.0
