It's getting rather tedious hearing how airlines are 'scamming / taking advantage / profiteering'.
They're really not - I just had to pay £400 extra because of the TC debacle but I understand how the industry works. The fares are sold in buckets, when demand peaks the lower fare buckets are emptied and thus the only seats left are more money.
This is the way it's ALWAYS been, if we didn't have this then there simply wouldn't be any seats left now as capacity has dropped massively.
It's not new, it's not a scam, it's just business.
Booking this late in the year has risks, and you lost unfortunately.

Ganga, I am the other side near carlisle, so choice of 4 airports, New, Ed, Gla and Man so can shop around for a good deal.

Its now 2 weeks since TCG went bust, I just wonder if the prices for the next 2 months will start dropping , People who was supposed to be going away in the next 2 months will have booked by now, So hopfully we might see a drop in prices.
