I visited the Focus that closed down at the Reebok stadium in Bolton last month with about half an hour to spare before the final closing of the shop. The assistants pushed through just over £1000 worth of goods including bath panels valued at £150 each and over 200 tester paints for..wait for it... £10!! They just wanted rid of it. So my advice is if your not overly bothered about what you want but just want a real bargain then just go as late as possible!

The closures that are meant to be happening at the end of January are no longer happening apart from one store (The won't tell us which one!). All closures that have a specific date are going ahead (except Shipley and Lincoln) but those that are down as end of January will not be happening.
All the Focus stores with no date have had orders raised for certain lines to help tide them over until the end of March. All the remainder No Frills stores have just turned ordering back on and have been asked to only order key lines (Paint, Brushes, Lightbulbs etc).0 -
I went to Weston-s-Mare store and its half empty. Even shelving etc being taken down so I'd say the end is close!2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0

I live just up the road from the Nottingham store so pop in every other day to try and catch it on its last days.
So far they have only 20% off at the till so they are nearly as cheap as b&q so have not bought anything yet. The assistents have informes me they wil be closing end of january.
What gets me annoyed is they are now selling stuff that they have never ever sold their since opening, such as their huge range of toys inc gaming chairs, royal doulton dinner services and a huge ranges of pictures.0
