have amazon kindle hd10, not yet 5 months old. seems as though it has screen burn. only used once a week

contacted amazon they have sent a refurbished kindle. I told them as under 12months old I wanted money back or a new item.

they have said no, I can only have refurbished thats all they have.

return window already closed. What do I do?

    Amazon are right. You are not entitled to a new product or a refund.

    Have you received the refurbished Kindle yet, and if so is it in any way inferior to the first one? If you've had c. 6 months use then what you're entitled to is a used (but working) Kindle, so I don't think unreasonable for them to give you a refurb.
