Market day in Ripon today. We always used to make the little trip there when we were at the caravan. Nice little selection of stalls - or at least there used to be!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning all
Thanks Tru nice to see you back too !
We managed to get home from hols ok but then the car wouldn't start again, so we had to buy a new battery and now we also need a new caravan cover as it has a big tear on the top. Our poor bank account.
While we were away DD finally had her consultant appointment and is now waiting to start her reconstructive surgery.
DGD has joined the school choir and dance club and is singing and dancing around her house at every opportunity ( think Fame on steroids. )
DGS had trials for 2 swimming clubs and passed both, so he has chosen the " Otters " and is practising his swimming strokes on the kitchen floor . We had no idea he would be a natural water baby ! He also has a cornet and can play 2 notes so far.......... poor DD seems to be living in a mad house :rotfl:.
And Dad is still here, although he says he's been at deaths door while we were away.
This morning the bed has been stripped, the bedding washed and on the whirly, I'm hoping it will dry a little ( fingers crossed ) but it's very overcast and no wind/breeze. Apparently the wind is coming later, along with heavy rain about 4pm.
Righty ho, coffee break finished, so I must go and clean the bedroom and remake the bed. I really don't know where all the dust comes from as we've been away and the house shut up
Taff I am so sorry to read about your Dad. Many hugs
Camelot congrats to you and your family.
Nelski come back again please. I missed your post.
Sending healing vibes to those in pain, awaiting surgery or appointments and hugs to anyone in need.
Take care all

Hello, I've been missing because I've not been able to login, and haven't had anything interesting to day anyhow.
Finally managed to get a load of towels washed and dried yesterday, it has been so wet here and although not actually raining today, it is cold and damp.
I've read back a bit, Gers, hope you have time to catch up after the funeral. Tru, that injection sounds a bit daunting. TA hope the appointment goes well, and everyone else hope all is well.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm late catching up today as DS and I have been to DGS school for a lesson in phonics. The children seemed to enjoy showing everyone what to do
I've been clearing the stuff out of the downstairs cloakroom so DH can finish the floor in there, and start the tiling. We got a mirrored cupboard delivered yesterday so hopefully there will be no carp on the windowsill. I've also lit the log burner for the 1st time this autumn ,it was so chilly.I need to pack my summer clothes away too and get my boots out .
Got the morries delivery due in an hour or so - not a moment too soon, the fridge is looking a bit bare , so I'll find something amongst that lot for tea.
Tru - oh don't worry ,it's only ever happened once and that includes our previous Mastiff Leo who also was prone to fatty lumps
Right I'm on a mission to find my winter waterproof. Its not on the coat rack and I haven't seen it for months, which means it's in the loft but I've been up there once and couldn't see it. I may be gone some time ....
Have a good day xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
I'm a bit cross with the Dr Laura saw at the hospital today. Everything is absolutely normal but he told her she might think about being induced at 38 or 39 weeks because after that the risk of stillbirth goes up 5 times. How to scare the pregnant mother.0

Afternoon all. We have had a mostly dry day here. The drizzle is just setting in now. DH and I went out for a 'spoons breakfast in Nailsea. Had a wander around Wait Rose and managed to get some Clipper organic Earl Gtey teabags which Tosco appear to have stopprd stocking. Result!
I see the WASPI campaigners have lost the fight for compensation fot those of us women who have been affected by the pension age changes. Oh well December
2020 it is then. OH got his at 65. How can that be equality?
Sorry for the moan. Not like me.
Well have a good evening folks. Hugs and spoons all round.
